Need advice on these eartips..

Like :

How does the sound change after fitting the tips?
Difference between t-400 and t-500?
Do they require any modification?
Durability?

I know its more likely to be a personal preference but i am gona purchase either Shure black foamies or Comply t-400/500 series and i am unable to test them before buying..

Stock Comply T400s fit the RE0's without modification. However, they do something unpleasant to the sound that IMO makes them not worth using. It's like the highs become muffled and lose detail for some reason.

Olives will not fit without a de-core mod, so you will need a proper-size core (i.e. one that fits the RE0's) such as that from a T400.

On the upside, Olives can last for a really, really long time while comply tips last 2-3 weeks per pair with heavy use.

1+ on the Comply's not working well with the RE0 -- seems like the Comply tip is too long and get squished in the ear canal and blocks the upper end clarity on my RE0.

About the Shure olives fitting the RE0: the Shure olives come in 2 [core, I assume] sizes: one size for the E2c, another size for all other Shures'. Does one of those sizes work with the RE0 without removing the core tube?

There used to be a chart somewhere of which tips/sleeves fit which IEMs. Anyone have a URL for that list?

+2 on T-400's being no good -- they're too big/long for the short nozzle of the RE0.

Decored olives, replaced with the T-400 core tube, works quite nicely with the RE0. You get the olive fit, feel, comfort and seal while the T-400 tube opens the delivery channel a bit wider, allowing clean, clear sound delivery.

The T-400's on my RE0 are very comfortable, but they make the sound darker than my HD600. I also think it's because the tips are too long. Sawing off the extra length with a razor blade makes them more neutral, while still being quite comfortable.

Hm odd. I didn't feel like T400s were bad for RE0. But maybe I was just unable to achieve any sort of decent seal with the stock tips, so they were better in comparison.
