Hi,

Im building my first cmoy and I was wondering if it's ok to use some NE5532 opamps which i have left over from another project. Is there anything I should look out for etc.

Go for it. Socket them, if you can, as you may wish to upgrade to a better opamp, if you like the results.

Can't help feeling you can do better than the 5532's. But they should work in the Cmoy. Do socket them as Budgie suggested for ease of swapping.

I put it together on a breadboard and it all works fine, but thanks for the idea of sockets as i would want to upgrade the opamp at some point. Its just a little hard finding parts where I live!

Im from New Zealand...theres only a couple of places I can get stuff from so its a bit hard to find some of the higher quality opamps ive heard people talking about on this board.
