Hello fellow head-fiers!

Well, my first post upcoming. Hopefully a succesfull one

Sorry for my bad english in advance. I'm from Germany.
So After trying a nice little Firmware Update for my old but reliable MuVo TX, it just seemed as if it has passed away... Anyways it was looking quite ugly and 256MB are no longer enough, not really state of the art.

So I Decided another Flash Player would be the correct thing for me, i like this Stuff, very small, reliable, close to undestroyable (i refer to my 3 year old MuVo, my brother wasted three cheap players in the same 3 years!)

But many things have changed... So many new companies, many nice offers. Which one could be best for my purposes? So i would like to spend 150€ Max!
-Creative Nano Plus (maximum is 1GB for ~70€, Battery -> nice as i actually don't like rechargeables)
-iAudio U3 (1GB for 125€, rechargeable :/)
-iRiver T10 (2GB for ~140€, also Battery )

So what do you think which works out fine for me, or is there even a better option for this pricerange?
Which has the best sound quality?
Which is the most durable?
Which is the most reliable?

The headphone of choice is an AKG K26P which will be replaced with a K81DJ sooner or later.

Thanks in advance!

Get the T10. You won't regret it. It meets your requirements to the T. You can check it out in my thread. However if you're on a budget, the Nano plus or any one of the creative flash players is good. I have a muvo nx and after 3years, it's still working

Welcome! Sorry about your wallet ...

Since you have had a Creative product before, you will be familiar with the Zen Nano Plus -- it is essentially the Muvo with the USB plug removed, so it's smaller and lighter. Good value, and you know how easy to use it is (same controls, same file system, same slim form, etc.).

Cowon/iAudio products sound nice, but they might not meet your price and capacity requirements (have you seen the G2 or G3?). Based on what you have listed, the iRiver could be a good pick for you (they are reported to have better sound than the Creatives ... or you could get two Zen Nanos, if for some reason that would work out for you). So, Sandisk and the Creative Zen V aren't available or don't meet your price range?

Isn't it amazing how 256MB was fairly standard "way back" in 2004?

Well the G3 seems to be really fine, 2GB, AA Battery and 40+ hours of music listening *humm* But i don't find this player anymore, so it seems it is an older one. When i tried to check the prices, i didn't find anything

. Nevertheless sounds very Interesting. Do you think the sound ist better than on those Creative Sticks? Any Idea on how to get one over here in Europe?

Oh yeah... and hell 256MB was soo much! I remember my first MP3 Player had 32MB

Well as i am trying to go one step forward (in terms of Soundquality) from where i am right now, i will leave out the creative nano as i heard iRiver and iAudio are much better. (truely?)

So actually i would prefer the iRiver T10 because of their AA-Battery-Mode, but then i realized, the iAudio U3 has much higher output power (30mW per channel) and as i probably tend to get a harder to drive headphone soon, this extra power is nifty... Some people also say the U3 has even better Soundquality than the T10.

Help me
