It seems to me that both the Mysphere 3.1 and the 3.2 belong in the Summit-Fi Forum.
It's without a doubt my favourite headphone and is both technically accomplished and great sounding - a tour de force of technology.

still trying to make my pair (3.2) sound satisfactory, as far as amplification is concerned, it sounded bad on my K1000 dedicated speaker system, it sounded bad on the Schiit Lyr... still looking for an amp that presents a decent synergy. As I live in Brazil, everything is more difficult, I have to buy things blind. The mod of removing a layer of material from which the standard cushion is made (I think that's what the transparent cushion is) has improved things, but it's still far from being my first or second choice for listening to music and if I return to it, it's to try out new devices... things with this headphone aren't easy for me, but I'm still hopeful, after all it's an ear-speaker and this type of design is so scarce on the market, that it's worth keeping trying.

Mysphere 3.2 is typically an easy to drive headphone, but I found cleaner sounding amps synergize easier with the Mysphere 3.2 more consistently. The cheapest amp I used with the Mysphere 3.2 is the Schiit Midgard and it sounded pretty great on it.

For your Schiit Lyr, what kind of tube you using it with? Something like the vintage Sylvania 6SN7GTA would make the midrange and upper frequencies sing with the Mysphere 3.2.

Gotcha, I am not too familiar with E88CC tube, so I can’t really help you there. Looking at your signature, I am not too sure how much you are willing to spend for just 1 headphone. The Schiit Midgard is “acceptable” to me, but it wouldn’t be something I reached for. My main amp is a Allnic HPA-5000XL using the Supratek Cabernet DHT preamp either using the 45 tubes or 2A3 tubes depending if I want a more vintage sound or a more technical sound. Mine is more of an oddball setup so I wouldn’t use this as reference. The Mysphere 3.2 is usually recommended with mostly a good clean sounding solid state amplifier.

When plugging the Mysphere 3.2 to a budget amp to a more expensive amp, to me the Mysphere 3.2 sounds more transparent amd cleaner sounding. If you manage to find a good tube amp that pairs well with the Mysphere 3.2, the overall soundstage, instrumental separation, and imaging get really better, but honestly I think that’s every headphone when pairing with a good tube amp. But the improve soundstage, instrumental separation, and perfect phantom center stage imaging feels so worth it with the Mysphere 3.2.

thank you very much for your suggestions, they are invaluable and encourage me to invest in a setup dedicated to mySphere. I haven't done it so far because I still don't know exactly "who" mySphere is, I bought it blindly as soon as I could because it's the "successor to the K1000" (no, it's not), the headphone I love the most, and since I don't have access to shows or many fellow headphone enthusiasts around, I'm afraid to be guided only by reviews and find myself with an expensive set that doesn't give me any pleasure. But I will continue my journey with it, and I even intend to take it to its " maximum " before doing so with the SR1a, whose " maximum " seems to require an even greater expense.

Sad to hear that Heinz Renner is winding back the Mysphere 3 after 7 years production. Parts, service and new headphones are still available by directly emailing Heinz

A late purchase of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's CSNY 1974 (the 3CDs and 1 DVD version) is rather nice to listen to on the Myspheres. It's still my favourite - usually - although the AKG K812 gives it a run for champion.
I love the Mysphere's wonderful sibilance control, giving vocals a superb, natural sound (I use the Bass pads and Oratory's EQ, as well as the Merging Anubis' DAC and superb headphone amplifiers.)

MySphere 3.2 and Ifi Diablo have tremendous synergy! My best portable option for now (and I tried many!) and more enjoyment than my last stationary setup of Chord Hugo 2 + Bryston BHA-1. I’m in shock, how good the sound is for a small amount of money.

Still loving the Mysphere 3.2 - tried a higher "profile" by shortening the headband apex to earspeaker distance and this has removed a slight ??resonance in the 2kHz region, allowing even better sound without equalisation. I still rate it as absolutely superb with both the Merging Anubis SPSS and the Fidelice DAC/headphone amp.
