I can picture it now. Listening to my music in class and someone walks up to me and says "What the **** is that?" And I won't say a .mp3 player when I take out this monstrous red brick from its case. I will simply say "Its a multimedia device" And than demonstrate the following.
Its a notebook hardrive and is cable of a 7 in 1 card reader, able to back up any data, play back manyyy audio formats. As well as being able to play back most video (INCULDING .AVI !!!!) as well as pictures. It has audio-in and audio-out, as well as video - out so I Can watch ANYTHING on my TV. It has a VERY nice interface as well as it being fully customizable, a large screen, a remote control. It is everything the .ipod is not.
Than after the clueless person walks away, I will go back to enjoying my .mp3 / .avi or doing whatever I was doing.
I have had 3 big .mp3 players in my life. A 30gb .ipod ... was a nightmare
A 60GB cowon iaudio, was a saint and did everything I needed... but was semi annoying at times
And the holy grail of media devices, the Wolverine MVP 120gb
