Hello, I'm relatively new to high quality audio and bought the Akg k612 pro and the objective2 headphone amp. My problem was that every minute or so the sound would DISCONNECT and come back. I tried Different configurations and I'm pretty sure that the audio error stems from inbetween the o2 and my PC. (it works with different computers and devices) my motherboard is the z-97-E that people say has pretty good dac, but I do not know what is wrong with mine I have another headset that is a gaming headset, it comes with a sound card that is directly attached with the headset but it has a 3.5 plug behind it to use other headsets with it so I connected o2 to it and the problem disappeared but the sound was lower and a little more grainy. is there a method to fix this or do you have any recommendations on cheap DAC / soundcard that can help me,i do not want anything fancy just want enough that it is the same quality that it sounds like just o2 and the headset so that DAC only stops the problem and dosent add anything "negative" thank you

Have you set the on-board audio to "2-channel" and "Speaker" output?
Which should feed the best signal to the O2.

An Asus Xonar DX or D1 sound card makes a decent DAC
Find a used one on eBay
