I need some recommendation for a music player for my mac and I have some requirements,
1) Able to scan folders from an external harddisk
2) Able to have remote control on an Android phone or an old ipad Mini.
I looked at Audirvana and Clementine which both have remote for android. I couldn't try Audirvana with remote as it's a paid app, also it rather pricey for my needs. Clementine works wonderful, and the remote works great. But I think the remote app could be improved to make it less 'flipping' around, from library to playlist, etc. I was also looking at the Aune X5S which can read up to 2TB off an external harddisk and the bluetooth version has remote, but I couldn't find which app it uses. I would like to see how the layout is on the app. I would still like to use a music player on the mac instead of getting a hardware piece of gear, though. I don't really like itunes or Music on the Mac and I also don't own any iphone models.
So what would you recommend or suggest?
