Hi,
Monster sent me replacement Turbine Coppers, but I noticed that the box is different (smooth instead of the velvet) and the earphones themselves use a different material (smooth, almost plasticky rubber instead of the grippier rubber).
I also noticed that the sound quality is nowhere near as good as it used to be (and I can do a direct comparison because my brother also has a pair, which he has not RMA'd). Instrument separation sucks, bass is too powerful. Even my cheaper Shure SE215s sound better.
Has anyone else experienced this? I was wondering if this is a known issue, that Monster sends out second grade replacements, and if I should bother sending these back for a different pair... So much for lifetime warranty I guess.
