Ok this is a weird one, I have some Monolith M1060C's headphones, I really like these headphones but it seems every time I use them in the evening I end up with sleep issues, like hard to get to sleep and / or waking up early, building up to hours and hours over days. If I use my M50X's I don't seem to have these problems despite playing music loud through both headphones. I've got to the point that I dare not use my M1060's

I am wondering if the magnetic flux off these planar drivers is affecting something in my head - nice comment for some witty responses I suspect.

Anyone else run into this ?

Call me crazy but I wouldn’t put any crazy magnetic fields next to my head.
We have enough EMI around our homes as is nowadays

When I worked at Ericsson, none of the engineers used the phones without a headset when making calls.

Totally agree with you there, when you look at the frequency of a microwave and wifi, they are the exact same 2.4Ghz, obviously vastly different powers but still we know what happens to food in a microwave oven. That's not even taking into consideration bluetooth and the frequency of the mobile phone itself. It's the reason I'd never consider using bluetooth wireless headphones, just not worth the risk to my mind when you can get superior sound quality with wired headphones.
I've never had issues with just headphones but planar technology has recently become widespread, I wonder if anyone has considered that there might be health implications to slapping a large array of neodymium magnets next to your head and modulating a diaphragm. I think I'll end up selling my planar headphones and sticking with dynamic drivers.
