Monolith balanced DAC/THX Amp vs. FiiO K9 Pro

This may be a long shot, but I'm hoping someone has first-hand knowledge and can advise if the FiiO K9 Pro would be an upgrade vs. my current desktop DAC/Amp from Monolith. Chip wise, they seem pretty close (for the the AKM version of the K9).
