The balanced cable (mono) from my Meze 99 Classics seems to work just fine with my Brainwavz Alara, however the plugs that came with the Alara are stereo. I just want to make sure that the 99 cable won't potentially cause any damage to my Alara before I proceed to use it.
Are certain headphones wired for stereo or mono use only, while others can be used with both? How do you know? Trial and error?
