I have a desktop amplifier for bookshelf speakers. I ordered a new subwoofer. But the connection between them cast some cloud over me.
The desktop amplifier is the old version NAD 3020 which has the description on its subwoofer output:
I currently am using stereo RAC jack in the NAD and output the left to a very old subwoofer.
The new subwoofer is Klipsch R-12SW which has the input as LINE IN: L/LFE and R.
If the NAD has a mono mini output, can it be really able to take advantage of the new sub? Based on the NAD's output I may connect the Left of the NAD output to the L/LFE input on the Klipsch. I may also connect the Right end to the R on the Klipsch, too. Am I missing out something on this connection? Do I have better solution without buying new equipment?

- dedicated mono mini (3.5mm) output for powered subwoofer
- Connect the SUBW output to powered (“active”) subwoofers or to power amplifier channels driving a passive system.
