Does any one know recent modhouse tungsten delivery time recently?
Is it really 16 week wait?
It’s slightly longer than that. The next window to order opens again on June 28th.

Ok, after six months, (I placed an order on December 23, 2023), I received my SS Tungsten on June 18th, 2024.
I have been burning them in for about 80 hours as of this writing - and listening to them too.
My setup:

Gustard A26 DAC

Burson Soloists 3XP with Supercharger 3A and the new V7 opamps.

Balanced inputs and balanced outputs

Other headphones I use on this setup:

  • Meze Empyrean, Hifiman HE1000 v2, DCA Aeon Closed X, AKG k702 (modified) (Austria edition)
I have over 8,000 songs in FLAC format.

  • Jazz, soundtracks, classical, house, hip-hop, reggae, beatless, lounge, rock, world, R&B, et, et, pretty much everything except K-pop & country.
Impressions:

  • Driving the Tungsten is not an issue with my setup. Of all the headphones I’ve tried, the Tungsten is the only pair that I’ve had to use high-gain. I’ve been comfortably listening at levels between 40 and 70 out of a max level of 99 on the Burson. Yes, this is a lot of power/voltage.
  • The sound is balanced and musical. Extremely enjoyable. They sound more realistic than any headphone I’ve heard -> am I listening to live music?? Details stand out. Bass is strong, clean, and impactful. Male and female voices come thru clean and are placed where they should be. Separation is great. Details shine.
  • Every genre sounds great. These are extremely enjoyable and comfortable to listen to.
  • I could not be more happy considering the value-to-performance and FUN the Tungsten (combined with the Burson and Gustard) offers.

I will be listing my barely used (perhaps 15-20 hours) DS on the classified tonight.
I have too many hp and while the DS is a absolute bargain and sounds wonderful I still use the Sus and now Immanis.

Thanks a lot for the review, @coreypine !
I have an Ananda, and ordered a Tungsten 2 months ago.
I had some concern that Tungsten might be dry-sounding. But seemingly, it sounded great!

Do you have a quick comparison between Tungsten and HE1000v2?
1) The Tungsten is better in every way than the Ananda. I had the Ananda years ago - sold them and bought the HE 1000 V2 - a big upgrade.
2) I hardly use my HE 1000V2 and they are very good. Maybe, just maybe, the HE 1000 v2 offers more detail and a slightly wider stage. But, overall, I just pick up the Tungsten as it is superior across the board. You will be very pleased with your Tungsten, provided, as all the reviewers have stated, you have a suitable chain to drive them.
I bought the single-sided version because they were described as being more dynamic and musical.

Thanks for the quick reply. :)
. A few weeks back, I borrowed HE1000 v2 from my friend. It was great (as you said), but I felt it is somewhat dry, especially for vocals or high mid range. That's why I asked.
. For Tungsten, I feel much relieved from your comments.
I have Topping A90, and will give a try. If not working well, I will reference yours. :)

I don't have a comparison between the two as I don't talk about the Highs, Mids or Lows as a reviewer does but what I can say is that the Tungsten sounds fuller, more life-like, more fun to listen to all forms of music.

I ordered a package of the Enleum headphone amp tailored for it, plus the double Tungsten, about a week ago. Soo emailed me to thank me for my purchase and said I should have it in two weeks, which would be about a week from now...

I ordered mine from Mimic Audio on Feb 17, 2024. I am still waiting. I fear that once Madhouse teamed with Enleum, those waiting in the normal queue wound up taking a step back. At this stage, I think Mimic/Modhouse should start paying me interest (hey, they're tieing up my cash flow)

Indeed - I bought the Modhouse/Enleum but I would not have ordered either if I'd have had the standard multi-month wait... I hope you get your's soon; I had to wait almost 2 years for a Donald North headphone amp, but I knew that when I ordered it.
