Mobile Fidelity Label Coming Back
it looks like music direct bought out mfsl when they went bankrupt in 1999. i am seeing some sacd releases under the mfsl name from md. i wonder if md will be preserving mfsl's approach to remastering, i.e. finding the best analog masters and doing their "gain 2" processing for a digital master (this time in dsd)? i know mfsl got a little criticism for boosting low & high frequencies in their remasters, but the gold redbook cd's i have from them sound great--almost analog in quality. anyway, time will tell. heh, are these new mfsl sacd's in pretty 24k gold too?
