Before Axpona there use to be a annual meet in Westmont a suburb of chicago. I know axpona has a much more elaborate headphone event but it was nice having the event there in westmont. Got to hear some of the local and not so local set ups that participants brought to the meet. It was a lot of fun and you got a chance to meet other headphone fans. Some of the set ups were pretty interesting. It was a blast .

IIRC, I attended one of these in 2014. But, I'm with you, I'll always prefer a smaller gathering of enthusiasts than a trade show setting... especially in a COVID world.

I also got a chance to meet Jude at the Westmont meet. He is a great guy he treated everyone to dinner after the meet closed.
