In Spain I found the MD player MZ-N520 with remote for 79 €.

Also I found the new HI-MD player MZ-NH600 (with line in, not mic, no remote) for 99 €.

What it's the best buy?

Can put in the MD player the my SonicStage library attrac3 music than I compressed before for my PCDP Sony D-NE300?

If those were your only choices I would get the NH600 over the N520 any day. The N520, if like the N510 is a good work horse model but the extra ability (on top of PCM recording) to use the NH600 as a data drive is a nice plus.

Thanks, I'll go for NH600.

I have a PCDP Sony D-NE300 (MP3 and Attrac3plus) and Creative Muvo V200 (flash player mp3+radio fm).

It's still the HI-MD a good purchase?

If you want to record then the HiMD is fantastic. As a player though, their are better players. I like MD myself and even though I have a Zen Micro I still use a MD because I like the sound.

Hi maurus,

You can purchase MZ-NH600 or MZ-RH710.

The model MZ-NH600 is 1st generation Hi-MD and the disk format MD/MDLP can recording also LP2 and LP4.

The model MZ-RH710 is 2nd generation Hi-MD with MP3 native, but old disk format MD/MDLP can't recording and MD recorded can used in Hi-MD of 2nd generation for playback only (also MDLP mode).

P.S.: Attrac3plus no, this is correct Atrac3plus with one letter "t".

Some versions of the 710 and 600D (North America) have no line in or connector for a remote. The european versions have a line in and a remote port. But european models have a lower output volume. Not sure about the Japanese versions and else where.

Ahem, not exactly. North American NH600D has no line-in/mic-in/DC-in but does include the remote port. It works very well with my 33EL remote but does better with the 40EL 3 line display.

The European NH600 has line-in (optical/analog) but no remote port and the lower headphone output as you have mentioned.

I submit to you a picture of my NH600D:

what whould you suggest as a better audio player...ive been thnking up ideas on where a MDplayer would be handy for me...honnestly i don't like 90%of the new HD players and Mini disk is different yet cool.

Personally, I don't need MP3 native playback ability that the second gen Hi-MD recorders offer. I would probably try and get an 1st gen MZ-NH900 if I could find one. If native MP3 support is important I would look into the MZ-RH10 or the MZ-RH910. Heck, I'd even settle for the euro version MZ-RH710. I know DEJ does not like that models cosmetics but I think it is quite cool.

Well, I love MD units because they look amazing and I love the way they work, so if you like they way they are then that's sweet!

This is my collection minus my deck and stereo.
