Those Canare jacks always look sexy.

This thread made me finally go to my local audio shop and get 2 ft of a Swedish interconnect cable named Supra MBS, a pair of generic 3,5mm plugs (the other plugs cost $6 each and looked to be a pain to solder) and make my own cable. I haven't been comparing for sound differences yet, but the convenience of this cable compared the 5 ft one I used before is well worth the $7 and about an hour of work.

Entering this thread a bit late... Anyone know of a right angle (or other compact, non stick out) quality plug?

I've looked but found no real solutions.

I'm working on the "Max Wart" portable amp (photos definitely not forthcoming... I would hate to deprive JMT from your community due to a heart attack) and have this idea for an integral spring loaded reel terminating in a compact plug.
