Threads I've read on headfi generally state that the Zune only had a 30mw output?

Would this be the reason why my E500's hiss on my ipod but not on the Zune?

If memory serves me right, the ipod's output is 60mw. The hissing really doesn't have anything to do with how strong the headphone out is, but with impendance matching. I hope I got that right

EDIT: fwiw, the rio karma has a 50mw output, the iriver h100/h300 series has a 20mw. Most pcdp's and cassette walkmans have a 5mw output. Most md players also have a 5mw output.
