I'm having some trouble with my new used microdac. It cuts out and stutters constantly when playing Via USB. It's like a skipping CD. I tried raising my foobar buffer to 2000ms, I put new-off-the-charger batteries in it. I can swap my bithead in via USB and it it works fine, and it does it with both of my computers. Any ideas?

Interesting.

I was able to really use my new microdac today.
Was running it off of nicad recharge batteries.
After bout an hour it started to studder.
I plugged in the power suply and the studder went away.
I then put in some nimh recharge batts and been listening to it for bout an hour with no studder.

I figured it just did not have enough power to run properly.
As it is the led is much brighter with ac than when i put it on dc.

Ran for bout hour and half on the nimh recharge batts and started to studder.
Plugged in the power suply and studder went away.

Maybe tomorow i put in new alkaline batts and see how far it will go.

I tried the power supply myself and it still did it. It sounds like a broken CD player that keeps trying to play the CD but can't.

Mine plays fine for about a minute after starting it up, then it lapses. I tried switching to 24 bit output in foobar, no change.

Have you tried it using some other software than FooBar?
