I was looking to get a pair of good IEMs and narrowed it down to these two. Initially I was going to get the SE215 because of their universal appraisal but have since stumbled upon the M6 Pro which sound like a really good deal. I have searched for comparisons but have not found anything useful. Most people say one obliterates the other and do not provide any type of analysis as to why. So here I am asking for a response. M6 Pro is cheaper therefore it would be understandable if they are not as good as the SE215. My question is if the price difference would be worth the difference? I am looking for a pair of IEMs to use on commute, while running, and in the gym. I am mainly interested about the aspects of sound and build quality of either of these. I listen to a very wide range of music but recently I have been listening a lot of electronic and rock music. Also which one has a better bass?

I have both. I also run 50 - 80km's a week and listen to electronic and rock. My 215's body cracked (Right ear) after getting used at least 5 days a week in all weather including rain and frost for more than 5 years. So I replaced them with the MEE's. I find them to be pretty similar over short term (1 hour) listening. So given the price difference MEE is a winner. However on my long runs I found them a bit tiring - a bit more harshness to the treble and the bass a bit "off". Got to the point I'd pull them out and finish my run in silence - didnt happen with the Shures. Neither have huge bass. Both have reasonable noise isolation - works best with foam tips so better for the commute. I use the rubber tips for running as sound Isolation isn't quite as good as foam ( i don't want to get run over), and they stay in a bit better. Clean up easier as well.

So for general use I'll stick with the MEE's and for rainy / really sweaty runs. I'm upgrading the 215's to the 535's which I hope will do my longer runs as well as dedicated listening.

Overall, given the price difference hard to go away from the MEE's

I just got a pair of SE215s for $70 here:

So far they seem like a good value at that price. Despite the dynamic drivers, they sound clear and block a lot of sound. They aren't as good as the TripleFi which I bought at $99 (three or four times... since it broke so often... plus however many replacement cables). But given that they have dynamic drivers I was not expecting such a clear well-balanced sound at all.

I haven't used the other you mentioned but I find it difficult to recommend spending too much money on IEMs. Every pair I buy breaks quickly because, like most everyone, I use them when I run and work out.

$70 is affordable, though, and they come with a lot of accessories and tips and have a great sound signature (huge punchy bass) for working out or being in loud areas. The detail isn't going to blow you away but it's really good. I really wish I could spend more on something better, but these sound very good and seal very well and block a lot of sound so I think you would be happy with them if you got them.
