coolvij,

Are you talking about the tuner/remote? I own a Sony FJ75TR with a tuner remote. I plugged it into the remote socket of my MZR900, the basic functions worked, the tuner did not.

No, reynman. I was talking about the remote that comes with a few Sony PCDPs - including the 825. It looks suspiciously like the remote bundled with the R900.....and I KNOW that works with the R700.

If the remote is the model RM-MC11EL or RM-MC11ELS ("S" for spare perhaps? it's listed as the latter on www.minidisco.com while mine, which came with my R900, is the first one), then it will work. Many lower and older models of Sony's MD recorders and players can use that remote, either as a replacement, as an add-on or as an upgrade, although some functions may not work (ie. backlighting). Some of Sony's CD players also use this remote.

I actually tried using mine with a friend's old Sony (forgot the model number). No display, but all the basic functions worked.
