Anyone else listen to this album?

i got it out today. haven't listened to it for months/years and with my new cans i've realized this is quite an audiophile album.

if you don't have it would whole heartedly suggest you pick up a copy. a very smooth album all the way through. something to chill to for sure. its sort of a mix of r+b and jazz. more r+b than anything though.

my fav track hasta be (3) Luxury: Cococure closely followed by (8) Submerged: Til We Become the Sun

a very stylish album.

I also have this album. The two songs mentioned are some of my favorite one son this album as well. Truth be told, though, I was kind of disappointed by this release. After Urban Hang Suite, I was expecting more. I only enjoy maybe 4 or 5 songs on this album. To me, it's almost as if he tried to experiment a little too much. The album is deep and lush, though, I will agree with you on that point.

I'll have to pull it out and listen to it just to get a feel for it again.

Yep.

My initial response was correct. I listened to this album again late last night, and my opinion stands.

Yes, the album is smooth, and enjoyable. There are only 3 or 4 songs I really enjoy, the rest seem to suffer from a "One-ness" meaning that they all tend to sound the same.

I will also agree that on a good setup (Meta, good 'phones, etc) this album sounds good sonically--it's just the musical enjoyment I find lacking, I guess.

agreed in all aspects.

i too find it hard to figure out which song i'm playing cause they all sound similar.

those two i picked out are the more unique and easier to tell which they are.

I like Maxwell a lot because he gets my wife all worked up.His music is pretty good and from interviews I have read,he is an Audiophile to the extreme and spins a lot of vinyl. All his recordings have been released on vinyl and the sound quality is very good on all of them.

True Story:I went with my wife to see Maxwell live at The Arie Crown Theatre here in Chicago, and I was hit on the head by a pair of panties thrown at the stage.
