As per the Mapletree Audio site: "The Ear+ Purist HD (now known as the Ear+ HD) includes both high and low impedance headphones jacks as the Ear+ HD2. Any impedance headphones can be connected to either output without sonic penalty. The dual jacks offer optimum power output for a variety of headphones."
To me, the distinction between the HD and HD2 is continually shrinking, and with this new addition, it would seem as though the only way to differentiate the two amps is simply by their aesthetics rather than their sonics (although some claim that the HD2 is a bit more neutral all around).
Just a quick update I though some people might be interested in.
EDIT: Someone beat me to it.
