Macbook Pro v/s Air - question about Line IN and DAC

Hi,
I am considering purchasing a Macbook Air or Pro (current versions) and still deciding between the two. Something that would help me decide would be answers to the following questions -
 
Does the Air and Pro both have a "Stereo Line IN" option ? I am not asking about a Mic In. I am asking specifically about line level stereo input.
 
And does these both have the same audio hardware platform ? meaning the Codec and DAC chips etc.. ?
 
Any info you can provide would be very helpful. Thanks!

Pretty sure that NONE of the current mac laptops have stereo in anymore. The older 15" MacBook Pro's did, before they went to the Retina screen. You could probably find one of them either refurbished or on ebay for pretty a good price.
 
Not sure about DAC's though.
