Can anyone recommend a closed over ear can (portable) that they believe would be a upgrade to the focal spirit pro?
My favorite aspect of this headphone is the imaging, everything has its space and there is some depth to it. The M50X in comparison sounded crowded and uneven as well as splashy. Spirit Pro has better resolution and no background coloration. I like that the Spirit Pro offers some excitment for female vocals!
I had the H6 in the past and while it has far better build quality the soundstage might be wider but the imaging itself is more shallow and tight. Also for outside use it lacks bass just by a notch.
I didn't like the P7 it sounded unnatural to me.
I did audition the Denon AH-MM400 but need to spend more time with it, but not sure if it would just be a side step.
the OPPO PM3 is too expensive in my country at 529€ and Tyll said in his review that the imaging is not the best.
I love the sense of space on the Bose QC25 but they lack treble to my ears and the bass is a little slow.
Would like to hear some opinions on the MH40, unfortunately I no local shops here that sell it.
