What is the thinnest speaker wire that I can get for a home theater setup?

I am trying to lay tile in my family room and it will be nice if I can find some thin wire that I can put between tiles in the grout. These will be for my surround speakers, but I do want to get some reasonably good wire, so that I won't regret putting it in permanently.

What do you guys think about those thin silver wires that some are using? Any suggestion is welcome.

not sure if they are the thinnest, but you might want to audition cables from audience. haven't listened to them in HT applications, but in stereo, they sound good.

check out their site for more details. audience

the thinnest I've ever used is 20 AWG, but if it's a home theater I'd use 14 or 16 AWG to get the best sound. And YES, it does make a slight difference which is more noticable in some speakers than others.
