I don't really know anything about speakers. I'm trying to find better speakers for Bass heavy music I listen to and for gaming.

^That is what I currently have.

I was wondering if someone could tell me some good speakers with insane bass and sound quality (basically ones that will make the ones I have sound like the headphones that come with new ipods)

If you could give me options ranging in price from 100-200$ to 200-400$ that would be great.

I have tried MANY Gaming headsets.. but they always hurt my ears.. even when the sound is really low I dont know why.

Thanks in advance!

Deep, true bass requires ample amplification, large enclosures and big drivers.  These three things cost money.  An entry-level quality subwoofer alone starts at $400.

It depends on what you mean by "better".  What is dead certain is that you won't get "insane bass and sound quality" for $400.  But again, it depends on your definition of "insane bass and sound quality".

Well what I considered good bass was the 20$ speaker set from walmart with a small subwoofer.. The set I have now I considered to be great I think its a 100watt sub. But there has to be a big difference going from a 90$ set of logitech to the stuff you suggested right?

Also I found the speakers you suggested:

http://www.amazon.com/Fostex-PM0-4W-Powered-Studio-Monitors/dp/B001AZEYLU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1332470324&sr=8-2

http://www.amazon.com/Fostex-PM0-4-Powered-Studio-Monitors/dp/B001GD2QS4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332470324&sr=8-1

^ I think those two are the same and are what you suggested right? Id prefer the black color.

Then theres these which are more expensive:

http://www.amazon.com/Fostex-PM0-4NB-Active-Studio-Monitors/dp/B004ACLQT8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1332470324&sr=8-3

Also I could not find that sub on amazon.. do you know of another one that would be on amazon? (that way I can try it out and see if I like it)

Thanks

I'd go with the newer PM0.4N.  As for subs, integration with their satellites is important.  The Fostex sub I mentioned earlier was designed to be integrated with the PM0.4N active speakers.  Going with another sub is possible, but could be fraught with perils for the issue of integration.  I'd make an effort to find it.  Try Sweetwater.com and websites that cater to sound recording.

I have not heard your present system, and I don't know their precise specs, but from afar I can already identify a possible problem for the issue of sound quality.  The problem has to do with the small size of the satellites.  Those tiny "mid-range" drivers are too small to go down in frequency response to a minimum crossover point with the subwoofer of 100Hz.  Anything about 100Hz the human ear will begin to hear with directionality.  If your one subwoofer is putting out substantial amount of sound north of about 100Hz, the sound will be in essence smeared in its directionality and stereo image.  Now, if the subwoofer is not going beyond 100Hz, then there may be a significant valley in the 100--500Hz range where the satellites, due to their small drivers, are also not putting out a significant response.  This phenomenon that I have just described is one of the Achilles Heels of these systems with tiny satellites.  There's still no free lunch, you know.  This is an issue that is likely to be not nearly as pronounced in the Fostex system with their 4" amplified mid-range drivers. If you look at professional 2.1 systems, it is rare to see one where the mid-range unit is smaller than 5" due to precisely this issue.
