This thread may look absurd on its face - a maxxed WA2 or Zana Deux cost almost an order of magnitude more than the Bottlehead Crack. However, all of these OTL amplifiers receive rave reviews, especially for my go-to cans (HD 650). Would anyone who has listened to the Crack (with or without the Speedball upgrade) and a super-high end OTL amp care to comment on the differences?
I realize this hobby is all about finding the knee in the curve - hard to know if you are 95% of the way there and trying to pick up that last 5%, or 99.9% of the way there searching for that last 0.1%. Clearly, I am closer to the former than the latter :')
