I have searched high and low for this thing, and I have not been able to find one for sale. All I can find is old FS threads that are closed out and sold.
I have literally checked every forum, thread, and google hit when I type "music fidelity X-can v8 for sale", and still nothing. I know they stopped making it, so I am sure that finding one wont be easy. Seems like nobody wants to get rid of theirs!
I own Denon d7000s and I keep hearing that for the price, this thing is where I want to be. I listen to a lot of dance/electronica, and am using an apogee duet for a DAC. I listen to mostly apple lossless recordings.
The apogee duet is GREAT as a DAC, but the headphone amp definitely leaves something to be desired. The volume just doesn't get that loud.
I like that the X-can V8 is a tube/SS hybrid, and according to several reviews has extremely good synergy with Denons.
Can anyone tell me either where I can purchase a new one, or have one that they would be willing to sell?
If the X-can V8 truly is impossible to find, than can someone give me a suggestion for a comparable amp that has as good synergy (if not better??) in the price range of about $400 - $600? Thank you!!
