Does anyone make a headphone amp for an auto audio system? I currently use Grado 325i's plugged into the preamp outputs from my Pioneer DEH-P510UB. It works but I swear that my notebook computer powers my headphones better than the Pioneer. So I am searching for a portable headphone amp. Either one that can directly connect to the wiring harness in the truck or something that runs on battery power.

As for listening preferences. I prefer my music as unveiled as possible with gobs of energy and snap. Between the exhaust and the road noise my truck is so loud I can hardly hear myself think anyway so anything that sounds euphonic isn't going to cut it. My music is primarily jazz and blues; jeff golub, lee ritenour, johnny a, hounddog taylor, buddy guy, zz top.

FWIW, I live in Texas and there are no laws on the books that prohibit listening to headphones while driving.
