I listen to a wide range of music but the bulk of what I listen to is alt and indie rock (The Mars Volta, Broken Bells, etc.). My current cans are Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's and neither my iPod nor my car stereo have enough power to let me listen to them as loud as I want without a lot of distortion. The majority of what I listen to is either lossless from my PC or 96K MP3 through my iPod. Price range is approximately $100 that way if it gets lost or damaged I won't feel too bad about it. Any help is appreciated.
