My pair of Velodyne V-Pulses just kicked the bucket so I'm looking for a replacement in the form of a new pair of IEMs. I've been doing a bit of research and found a few options, but I'm looking for some recommendations for finding the right pair.
I primarily listen to EDM and Hip-Hop, but also a fair amount of classic rock. Good bass is important, but I don't want to sacrifice range. I'll be using these daily for commuting around town while listening to my iPhone so a mic/remote is mandatory. My previous pairs haven't lasted me longer than a year so durability is nice as well. My budget maxes out at $150, but I'm curious as to how much the audio quality differs between the $50-$100 and the $100-$150 ranges.
As of right now I have my eyes on Shure SE215 (the extra $50 for a remote is a turnoff however), Audiofly AF56s (read some negative comments on durability) and Sony xba-c10ip. I'm open to other suggestions so fire away!
