Logitech z5500 display - blank no text /display issue

greetings
would appreciate if anyone be  able to shed some light on my issue - 
 
basically the logitech z5500 control pod is working but there is no text being shown /displayed (dunno which mode  i am in etc..)
 
I have gone ahead and replaced the LCD module with a inverted LCD unit...TM202RGFU6 but the issue  is still present - just no text - using remote etc all works and defintely the effect mode changes...3ch/2ch etc etc...no popping of speakers.humming  etc... just the display is blanked...
 
would appreciate some insight i.e suspect caps to replace (if thats the cause)

I bought the betting TM202RGFU6 lcd I bought, even bought two. But in both I have the light on, but there is nothing on the screen. Just light. Did you solve the problem? If you solve you help me

Where did you get the TM202RGFU6  LCD from?
Does it need additional leds as the original to see the letters or being which on black it can be seen ok?

As I said, I bought two, but there is illumination, no numbers and no characters. It's just the backlight. black screen . There is no difference between LCD and LCD
