LG LV60 Quad DAC Not Working After Upgrading to Android 11

I'd been on the precipice of buying an LG V60 for the past week, and I'd been reading a few different sites about the various models that might work for me. Yesterday, in the r/LGV60 sub on Reddit, I was reading about someone who'd purchased an LM-V600AM on AT&T's network. They said that for over one year, their quad DAC did not function on Android 10. However, at the beginning of March, AT&T updated to Android 11 (version V600AM20d). W/ this update, they said that the DAC now functioned properly. Less than one month later, though, AT&T again updated Android, this time to version V600AM20f. Apparently, this update broke the DAC again.

What I'm wondering is, has anyone else had this problem? While I'm looking at a LM-V600TM for T-Mobile's network, I thought that this might be a well-known issue worth asking about. If anyone has any information on this, I'd be really interested to hear about it. Thanks very much!

I was hesitant after hearing about the issue w/ the quad DAC not working, and I was wondering if this issue was either commonplace or had been seen in other versions of the V60, specifically the LM-V600TM, since that was what I was looking to purchase.

I have a V50. When I bought it last year I turned off all updates immediately right away after inital setup. Read the upgrade hiccup so didn't want any chances.

I never realized it was such a production just to get the quad DAC to function. Now, I'm hung up on whether to buy this or not. I'm thinking of just getting functioning phone and saving the audio for dedicated devices.
