I want a closed back headphone to pair with my Jotunheim that fits larger heads, and preferably coming with a balanced cable.sub $500 would be preferable; but i would probably go up to $800. I do like bass, but like, I don't need it to be super bass heavy. My current daily driver is a hifiman 560 which I do enjoy, to give you an idea of the type i like, although i have an earlier version with the cheaper cable connections that are a little fragile, and I'd like a more closed headphone as well.

If you're not opposed to used, here are some for you to look into:

TR-X00 Mahogany (bassy/recessed mids)
TR-X00 Ebony (neutral/recessed mids)
E-mu Teak (bassy/less recessed)
Denon D5200 (neutral/good bass)
Denon D7200 (bassy/recessed treble)
Fostex TH610 (neutral/can be bass light for some)

Any of these will fit a larger head--the Fostex and E-mu have a single pin for the cup swivel, which is not the most durable design. The Denon models ditched that and feel more durable in hand.
