Shuguang KT88 sereis including TK88(normal types), GEKT88(copy of GE) and KT88-Z(Treausre tube), the quality of KT88-Z is better than GEKT88, GEKT88 better than KT88

The Eat KT88 is sounding holograpic.
There are czechoslovakian tubes called
KR Enterprise KT88 which are imo almost as good.
But for me the Tesla KT88 with white socket are the most outstanding holograpic tubes until this day.
Difficult to get.

Funny this thread got resurrected... Since it is, I'll give my input.
Not even sure these were made when this thread left off, but the Psvane Treasure Mkii Kt88 are great.
 
The new stock Gold Lion are more overall lush, but lack the micro-detail of the Psvane kt88. 
Flip side, Psvane kt88 isn't lush or forgiving like the GL. 
 
Apart from kt88, I've tried various 6v6, 6l6, kt66, kt77, 6550, 5932, 6384, el34, kt120, kt150. 
Great series of tubes to use in an amp (beam tetrodes / pentodes).
If the amp is spec'd correctly, you can cross breed 6v6 to kt150 with biasing.

Genelex Golden Lion KT 88 are what been i my system for past 2 years and still running strong.

On my ORIGINAL OPA-5A, shuguang WEKT88-PLUS completely surpasses the Russian made GOLD Lion KT88. Of course, shuguang's actual price is about 20% more expensive than GOLD Lion KT88
