KEF x300a vs JBL lsl305 Ignoring Price

I am looking at the KEF x300a and JBL lsl305 speakers for my desktop. Regardless of price, how do these two speakers audibly compare? Are there other active speakers of the same physical size that I should be considering for up to $800? I do not want wireless or bluetooth.

I realize a dac is necessary with the JBL 305s.

I don't any of those speaker but both are different, the X300A will fill the room while the JBL is a near field monitor. If you have your PC in a small room the JBL are fine and they are on sale for $100 each, if your PC is in a living room and you want other people to enjoy the music the  X300A are better

Red - nice! The PC is in our office. The living room has a dedicated stereo system.

Does the JBL 310s subwoofer match well with the 305s or should I get a SVS SB-1000? My office is about 11' x 11'.

I just ordered the red JBL 305s for $199 total. They will be shipped in early February due to out of stock at the moment.

I contacted them and found the speakers will still ship February 7th. The March date on the website is for orders after mine. There were enough that it moved the date out. February 7th works great for me.

Thanks, but white is a color we don't want. Massdrop has the 305s for $99 each plus shipping which comes to $230/pair.

There is no guitar Centers near me.
