Got 'em from dr Meier earlier this week. Guess my Senn 545 will collect dust from now on. Any intrest in a 545 vs 990 review? Guess I have to listen some more before I can post that, not to mention it's midtermexams the next two weeks.

Tomcat (or any other Beyeruser): Is there a miniplug (3.5mm) hiding somewhere under the regular stereoplug (6.3mm)? It says so on the box but I can't remove the stereoplug. Am I just stupid or is it a misprint on the box?

Congrats on the new purchase mr_slacker. Good to see that the number of Headfizers from Sweden is still increasing.
About the jack, just unscrew the 6,3 mm jack and you will find the mini underneath. It is IMO a nice arrangement.

...and like blr said, you have to unscrew the big jack and you'll find the cute mini underneath. Be careful, it's kinda like being born..... be sure to give lots of love

gorgon is correct, I believe the jack must be unscrewed off the 990. Just like on the K401...

I, for one, owe RossB, who had mentioned the warmth and musicality of his Beyer 990 Pros during the old HeadWize-only days. I didn't know that there was a new 250 Ohm version, but that's the one I finally found and liked immediately.

And don't forget the companies: we just talk about their products, they are the ones who design and build it. Imagine they hadn't.
