If you want to test the bass on your headphones, you have to listen to Juno Reactor, any of their albums. The are a mix of the the most intense drum bass lines, with captivating use of symphonic instrumentals. Think of a really heavy speed induced E.S Posthumus

Try FSOL (Future Sound Of London) as well.

BTW, this thread should be in the Music forum.

FSOL? Maybe Cascade but the newer stuff?

Oh and Juno rocks homie. They are as good as Goa gets IMO. I always wanted to see them live. They populate their shows with tribal dancers and bongos.

I just got one of Juno Reactor's albums, called Labyrinth. This is one of those few albums that you just can't skip tracks on, they flow so well into each other. I haven't yet listened to it on my headphone rig, but I have a feeling it's going to be a sonic treat as well.

Another vote for FSOL. 'Lifeforms' and 'Dead Cities' are amazing.

All I have from Juno Reactor is their "Bible of Dreams" album (very good, highly reccomended).

As for the mention of Infected Mushroom up there, they are awesome. They are one of my favorite groups, and I would say you need to go out and get "IM the Supervisor" if you haven't heard any of their music (or check out their site, where you can listen to some of their stuff). Really good stuff...really

That's the first thing I thought of.

Nope, Ben Watkins has been producing under the name Juno Reactor since the early 90's. With the popularity of JR in Japan, I'd almost think it was the other way around...

Bible of Dreams and Samurai remain my favorite JR albums.

Labyrinth is much more theatrical, and brilliant in its own regard. If you've seen the Matrix series, you will recognize a few tracks from Labyrinth as appearing in the movies before CD.

Shango is somewhere in between. It's brilliant in its own regard, somewhere between the two styles. It blew me away when it was initally released, I especially love Pistolero because of the wonderful Spanish style guitar work recorded over it. Ben is one of the few electronic producers that works well in a mixed environment (live recording vs synths).

LOTS of Bass on the new CD by 'Noiseshaper', entitled "Rough Out There".
It is basically Modern Reggae/TripHop/Ambient Dub.
It gave me a good taste of what my rig can do, plus I really enjoyed the listen.
