So Asashoryu has started out this basho with two straight wins, and Kaio already has a loss.

If Asa wins the cup it'll be four in a row, that has happened only four times since about WW2!

OK, so Asashoryu is continuing to blow through the opposition. This is getting kinda scary He is now 6-0 along with Miyabiyama.

Tochiazuma looks like getting the 10 wins he needs for automatic restoration of his Ozeki ranking.

Can you believe it? Asashoryu wins again by taking out Kaio on the last day. This basho, Miyabayama gave him a good run, but the guy seems untouchable.
Tochiazuma was able to restore his Ozeki ranking. Too bad these come only every two months.
