Stuff often gets stuck in customs for a long time. Sometimes it just blows by though too. If customs decides to process, it can take weeks, pretty standard. I've had many things get stuck in customs for weeks, even a month, but it showed up eventually. Sometimes it blows through. Doesn't mean anything is wrong.

Could someone please help me with something? I know it is a bit off the subject here to some extent but who would be responsible for a package stuck in Customs? The seller or the buyer? Who would have to deal with the situation even when the seller tells you " I have no control over customs?". Anyone here have experience in the subject please? Thank you
i have recently had similar happen twice.
luckily through the tracking , each time i managed to get contact details for hmrc.
each time, i was able to settle the charges over the phone, without the reference numbers that hmrc are "supposed" to send out (but had not)!
its a poor system.

I recently sold and shipped a phone to a UK buyer and he received a VAT bill for more than the price of the phones! It took some effort to get this corrected. Obviously it was our responsibility to get this fixed.

Having lived in London for almost 10 years, I can't tell you how many times my stuff got stuck in customs.
Almost every time, it was released anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.
The one exception was a package that got returned to sender.

Ok that's what I am going to do now. I have managed to get hold of HMCR customs phone numbers after some web digging. I had no idea about all of this at all. Their call service is available Mon-Fri only so I will be in a mission of getting my XTC 2.5 back next week. Thanks everybody for sharing your thoughts on this. Much appreciated :)

Way cool. Good things are waiting for. Nice phones. Are those the African Blackwood Burl like mine?

Some more photos. Black African wood may be on the heavy side but the sound it produces is just on another level.

I think if I remember correctly my African Blackwood XTC-C ^2.5 Euphoric Xtreme Trip phones weighed in at 625g but I never really notice the weight at the weight is well-distributed, clamping force is not too strong, and the headband is comfortable. I do have some really old Stanton Dynaphase 60 headphones from 1975 that have a similar weight and I feel like I just did a big neck workout in the gym after a listening session with those things.

Yea I felt like these arn't too bad for some reason and I'd expect it to be worse. The only headphones I don't notice if I wear them all day long is the open backs, wow those things are lightweight, just a feather.

I agree it is not heavy. I meant it is heavy comparing to other woods but mine is also at 600g ish.

I sent it back to John for retuning because it was too bassy and warm for me. It is now a neutral tuning. However, what I was not expecting is the way it is now responding to my Mojo2.

I can now change the tuning the way I want. These drivers just respond so well to the Mojo 2 EQ DSP. I guess adding treble or bass works better than removing IMO. It could be placebo effect but I can now EQ better from a neutral start point.

This combo is just heaven. Mojo 2 has plenty of power to drive these cans and with the best DSP around, I have found my headphone nirvana.
