I'm in the process of removing the discs, liner notes and backings from approx. 300 CDs. Anyone know of a cheap way to store them? Flip cases are too expensive. What about 3-ring binder inserts?

My current method is to put the discs on old CD-R spindles. I rarely need the CDs, and I have them organized so I'll be able to find things fairly easily if I ever need to.

Anyone know where I can buy empty spindles in the US? (Found 'em in the UK for 44p for a 50 CD spindle.)

I use those white tyvek CD sleeves; liner notes in the fron slot, cd in the other slot. I can fit just about 350 cds in a rectangular antique storage box on the floor next to my rig. Very compact, and no jewel cases, or big, ugly racks to look at.
