I'm considering buying a Japan imported Sony network walkman (NW-MS70D) which uses SonicStage Ver.1.5 software... Can I get this software to run on an US Windows PC? If not, are there any alternatives? Thanks!

Without having tried that particular program, unlikely. All the Japanese software I have tried displays strings of ????? marks without Japanese support installed and lots of kanji with.

An English version of Sonicstage 1.5 is available and works just fine with Japanese models as long as you install the drivers that come with your unit. You can try asking for the package on http://www.minidisct.com/forum or elsewhere.
