Hi All,

Here's a dumb question I'd love to find the answer to, I'm using iTunes (latest); can some please explain to me the function of the Volume adjustment slider within iTunes (right click on track / get info / options).

What does this volume slider do exactly, does it affect the SQ of the track in question if I start playing around with it?

I've got a EU capped 4th Gen nano, that's pathetically quite (especially with ADDIEM's), I can increase the volume of my tracks by sliding the adjuster up by 1 1/2 notches, but I don't wish to play around too much if it's going to affect the SQ.

I'd be grateful if someone could explain it's exact function?

Cheers

Mark

ya... i'm not sure how it would mess with SQ. just seems like an individual volume adjustment. you say your nano is quiet... do you have volume restrictions on? i know there's a setting like that in the other ipods.
