I came home from a trip - and my dad had a present for me.

He saw that I was getting interested in electronics, so he went ahead and bought me a book on it called "Getting Started in Electronics" from Rat Shack.


What is funny is that in the back of the book there is a schemetic for an op-amp amplifier. I wonder if its any good.


What I was wondering is should I trust the information this book gives me. Thanks.

I am "afraid" I must agree. Rat Shack DIY Guide booklets are wonderful. Some of them are actually awesome. (PSU guide is a MUST!)

How well is this book regarded "Beginner's Guide To Reading Schematics" - Second Edision, by Robert J. Traister and Anna L. Lisk?
