A SuperTurboclock would be nice, but would add significantly to the cost - I will probably use a stable oscillator. I was thinking about $450 for the delux version and ~$300 for the basic version. The cost would double if I used the Superclock or the SuperTurboclock.

From scratch, I would probably use the TI PCM2706. This way, I have an I2S interface as well.

A BNC connector can replace the RCA connector easily on the USB to S/PDIF converter.
