I don't know how good the personalisation method works that sxfi uses. (Using pictures of your head.)
Good personalisation is very important to get the sound out-of-your-head.
(Everyone has a different HRTF - Head Related Transfer Function.)
There are alternatives:
-Impulcifer is free software that you can use to measure real loudspeakers in a room with in-ear-mics to determine how the sound of speakers reaches your ears. (You will need real speakers and in-ear-microphones.) With that you can create a preset for (for example) HeSuVi, other free software that does the actual speaker simulation. (On a pc, maximum 7.1 channels, no headtracking).

-Smyth Realiser A16 (very expensive). Supports up to 16 or 24 (newer models) channel Dolby Atmos. DTS!X and Auro 3D optional. Uses headtracking to keep the virtual speakers stationary when turning your head. You will also need to measure real speakers with the supplied in-ear-mics for optimal results.
Both these can give very realistic results.

I forgot there is also a method using a 3d model of your head to derive your personal HRTF, that can then be used by for example Virtuoso (software). But a lot of work to do. Also you need to know something about audio routing software etc. to get it all working.
