Hello,

I currently own a Magni amplifier, which I use with my Creative X-Fi HD card. I'm thinking of changing the card to Modius DAC.
I'm gonna listen to music 80-90% of the time, using my Beyerdynamic DT-990 Premium 250 Ohm.
Is Magni + Modius a good combination?

Kind regards,
Pavel

So your currently using the Creative Labs Ti-HD (X-Fi Titanium-HD) sound card?
Me, I would disable the motherboard's on-board audio, in the BIOS.
Connect the Magni to the line-input (RCA jacks) on the Ti-HD.
And replace the DT990.
For the price of the Modius, get the Takstar HF 580 planar headphones, with Sendyaudio AVIA ear pads.

The Ti-HD comes with a nice DAC setup, for a sound card.
Maybe replace (upgrade) the card's op-amps?

Yes, it is a good combo. The Modius USB is exceptional and the Magni has sufficient power for the DT 990. I use a Modius with an Asgard 2 and DT 1990 Pro; very good sound.
