Like in the title. I can have either for approx 60-70$. Or the technology changed so much in the meantime, that I can buy something new and better for that price. Looking for a small DAC/AMP combo with good sound. I am indifferent to brand, but limited by cost. The cheaper the better, as it will only serve as DAC/amp at my work, connected to the laptop.

Or there is anything new worth consideration? Not necessarily with ESS Sabre DAC

If you are looking at FiiO second hand Amp or DAC then I would remind you to check the battery. Battery is always an issue. Else, you can consider AudioQuest DragonFly. It is powered by ESS Sabre Dac too.
