Is it "safe" to try purchasing the X2s now?

They check every box I want in a headphone and the reviews across the board sing their praises.

However, "glue-gate" and some of the other issues/Amazon warning/etc have given me pause. I can't tell if Philips statement says "how we make them now is how we'll keep making them" and I should pull the trigger...or if I should wait a little while to see if Amazon warning is removed/it's clear they've resolved all quality control issues/etc.

Thoughts?

Track an authorized dealer down and make your purchase that way. This will give you better buyer protection if you are worried.

You should be OK to order from Amazon though and the warning is very transparent. If your earpads are glued down you can contact Philips and get them replaced.
